Default Internal coil replacement

Looking to replace my bad internal coil in my jdm h22 distributor. What other models can be used? I know the cap and rotor from a 2000 civic SI fits because i just bought one... will the coil from the same civic work in a jdm h22 dist?

and no i don't want to convert to an external coil...

Usally the best thing to do, is to just replace the whole Dizzy itself.

Well if I replaced the whole thing I would want a brand new one and a coil itself is alot less. Plus, I already have an extra dist for parts, just need a another coil.

Yeah, I would just look for another H internal coil, I believe the actual distributors are different from Civic to Prelude despite the caps being the same(not sure about the coil). However, IF the distributors were the same we could use a billet MSD distributor on our Preludes

So instead of buying one small part that would fix the problem he should buy a much bigger part that he doesn't even need all of? Also, what is the comma for?

I thought I read somewhere that coil's from an accord and civic can be used, just not sure from what years and models. Hopefully someone can chime in because for some reason I couldn't find it when I searched for coils.

ok the easiest and most reliable thing to do it buy a new distributor. for a h22 with a internal coil is hard to find. the p/n is td-60u there are a few on ebay for like $120. its for the jdm prelude which had an internal coil.

All that was needed was a new coil which I already changed. The dist was working perfect so there was no reason to get a new one. This thread was made almost a year ago and that civic coil is still working with no problems.
