car is just pissing me off, I have a 1990 accord EX auto trans with about 111,000 on the odometer car started flashing engine light and "S" light checked codes got 17 (vss) decided i dint need it that bad so left it now car is idling bad have to two foot it at lights of just keep the rpm's up higher than 1000 for it to stay running keeps bogging out. Took it to a rip off of a place in my neighborhood to have them diagnose something, $500 later they tell me what i said " i think the alternator is taking a ****" so they are like "we adjusted some stuff and its running ok for now but your going to need a new alternator and that plus the labor will be like 400 more " Said [freak] it put it in myself yesterday, was good for about 20 mins now its doing the same thing. dont know ifthere is a short somewhere or what . Anyone have anything happen like this it seems like its worse now with the new alt. any help would be great thanks
