in order to have koni's with ground controls you have to have some kind of adapter. can you order this adapter later and install it so the standard ground control sleeve will accept the koni shock or does the sleeve have to come with the adapter already in it straight from ground control?

You actaully have to buy a new set of sleeves altogether. The new koni perches are very different, and will not allow a flat surface for the stock GC sleeves to mount to. The Koni/GC sleeves take the place of the stock spring perch, mounting directly to the shock itself, and eliminating the stock spring perch altogether.

 

you can actually order ground controls that are made specifically for koni's.

Any idea what GC charges for this? Do they use the standard 2.5" I.D. springs?

 

it's about $40 if i'm not mistaken... as far as diameter, not sure on that one.

 

You can find them from $16-$22 per sleeve, the collar/spring fitment is exactly the same size.... And you only have to do this, dragonhvu, if you have standard sleeved GC's and you upgrade to Koni shocks. I know, I'm a dealer.
