I bought a harness from monotech and the colors for the harness dont match any other pinouts I've seen. Also the colors on the dizzy are completely different from any other pinout I've seen also...some one please help me!

 

it is DOHC ZC, right? are you running it OBD0? what distributor do you have? should be a TD03U for OBD0 - the TD03U should have a rectangular 5-wire connector, just like a DX distributor

 

The distributor the plug coming from it is circular...and it is OBD0 and the distributor is the TD O3U

 

are you talking about mono from here? if so just PM him he'll help you out

the TD03U distributor should have only 5 wires going into the plug - the wire colors are white, orange, white with blue stripe, orange with blue stripe and another white (on some aftermarket distributors this wire is yellow with green stripe)

it would appear that the connector on the harness is correct for a SOHC engine - i don't know which ECU pins the yellow/black and red/black go to - these would be the wires that need to go to the Cylinder Sensor on the end of the exhaust camshaft - you may have to check them for continuity to see which one goes where - if the harness was wired right, the yellow/black should be going to ECU pin C2 and the red/black should be going to ECU pin C1 - C2 would go to the blue/yellow on the Cylinder Sensor and C1 would go to the blue green

evidently, someone has modified the distributor wiring and without knowing where the wires go inside, i can't tell you where they go in the connector - it should have only 5 wires as the TD03U doesn't have a Cylinder Sensor in it - the orange and one white wire go to the crank sensor in the distributor - the white/blue and orange/blue go to the Top Dead Center sensor in the distributor - the other white (or yellow/green) goes to the igniter
