coolant temperature sending unit
where is it on a b16a motor, is it that sensor right under my vtec solenoid?
sometimes cooling fan kicks in, sometimes it doesnt at all and temp goes on the rise, i was told its the coolant temp sending unit, wondering were it is, thanks

It is not under the Vtec solenoid... Your can located the Coolant temp Sending unit on Thermostat housing.
You can always hot wire the fan to stay on.. but jumping the 2 wires together.

i pulled the plug under the vtec solenoid, and coolant came out and there are two wires coming from it . what plug is that then?

That is also a engine coolant sensor.. The ecu uses that one.. The fan uses the one on the water neck at the thermostat .

ECT- Engine Coolant Temp sensor is on passenger side of head, 2 pin connector
Thermo Fan Switch is on the t-stat housing.
I pin sensor next to ECT is for the gauge cluster
