Default car stops at high speeds... restrictor?

first things first i no i shouldnt be speeding and its dangerous blah blah blah.... anyways on the highway "experimenting" with another car and my speedometer hits 120 (btw its off by 10ish so i was only doing about 110-105) and my car stops accelerating rpms fall speed falls about 10 and kicks back in again. is there some sort of restriction set in the computer or what? just curios as to why this is doing this but my best bet is its a computer thing, any idea anyone? thanks

What car?
What year?
What engine?
What ECU?

Those are some of the things other people need to know to let you go faster than 120.

My psychic powers aren't up to speed so early in the day.

You're going to need a new O-pipe, its restricting your back flow.

Definitely needs a new O-pipe, that thing could be nearly 20 years old now.

I feel bad for the people in Ohio. Take it to a track/drag strip/private lot.

My car does this too. Haven't been able to figure it out yet. I have a 90 Crx with a JDM b16A on a pw0.

Aren't Japanese cars limited to 112mph by law? If you're running a JDM swap with a JDM ECU wouldn't that restriction still be in place?
