Default New here. NEED HELP

I'm new here. I just need some help cause my car(1989 Honda Civic DX HB) is throwing a code 4 crank angle sensor, and I just had the main relay and distrubitor replaced. I tired reseting the ECU(is it done by pulling the negative battery cable or is it done another way, cause I heard you had to take it to get erased.?) It will run fine until it warms up then it will throw the code and it won't let rev past 4000rpm. Any suggestions cause this really sucks

follow your wire harness from your distributor to your ECU. make sure there are no cuts or burns in it. otherwise you've got me stumped unless you happened to get another bad dizzy.

and yes, pulling the neg battery cable will reset the ecu.

I guess I will be seeing the mechanic who said he fixed it, cause he had replaced the whole dist. then I get it back and it was throwing the code 4 so I took it back to him since he said the dist. had warranty, then he tells me he replaced the dist. I get my car back same ****, then he tells me I have to take it some place and they will erase the code from the computer. Do you really have take the ECU to get the code erased or is it just bullshit?

The mechanic ain't gonna be to happy when he sees me

If your mechanic doesn't know how to reset a honda ecu, you need a new mechanic!!!!!
