Default Rear swaybar bushing question.

So I got my ASR brace and ITR swaybar with Blox adujstable endlinks awhile back. But I recently read a thread where the person had a metal bushing that went on the end of the sway bar:

Anyone know where I can get some? I'm having some rattling problems coming from the back of the car, and I think this might solve it. Thanks for any help,
-Eric

what kind of bushings do you have right now? rubber? none?

if they're rubber, im sure your rattling is comming from somewhere else. maybe a loose bolt?

Right now there is no bushing in there (kit didn't come with any...) So the screw connecting the endlink to the swaybar is just sitting in there. Today I got underneath the car and smacked one side of the swaybar, and I could here it rattle a bit where that screw is.

Here is a pic of my setup:

That is a spacer in between the endlink and the swaybar btw, not a bushing.

Oh yeah, you definitely need a bushing in there. Looks like you also need a larger or more spacers as the end link should be nearly straight up and down.

It also looks like your shock is leaking

Yes i have since added more spacers, but have run out of room on the screw itself. I have about 3 threads left

Oh wait, so this is an ITR (DC2) swaybar going on an 96-00 Civic chassis, right?

That could be part of the problem, as it appears that the sway bar mount points on your car are farther outboard than on the DC2 LCA's, which is causing the end links to sit angled like that. I wonder if a CTR swaybar would work better on that chassis? Perhaps the CTR bar is longer and would reach farther over to be more above those end link holes in the LCA.

I'm running an ITR swaybar on my DC2 non-R with stock end links and it works great.

Yes I'm running the DC2 swaybar. At the time when I ordered it passwordjdm was selling it all as a package. I checked now and they sell the CTR swaybar with it instead I've been reading and someone said that using the factory Si endlinks will work with my setup, so I'm gonna give that a try. But I still need bushings for my endlinks.

wierd... im running an ITR sway bar with asr brace on my EK hatch and the endlinks are almost vertical.....

when i had an SI bar on it, the endlinks were so slanted. So the itr bar actually fit better.

also, go to OSH and in the nut and bolt department, they have rod ends.
you can make your own endlink. thats what i did. Buy two female and 2 male rod ends and 2 nuts to fit them and you have your own home made end links... comes out to under $30 bucks... or buy one set and pocket the other, whatever makes you happy
