A friend of mine is about to buy a field scfv for $110. Its a
pretty good deal. just wanted to see if anyone here
has one and how they like it. Is it operation similar
to the vafc? I know that the vafc had hi/lo throttle
and this doesnt. I would assume it is active all the time.
Does it modify signal like the afc or does it use a
different method? Any info will help. Thanks.

I have an sfc, seems pretty good. The vafc is much better, has more functions, more fuel curve points etc but I rekon the sfc is good for what I paid. Haven't been to the dyno yet, not expecting anything amazing from it but it'll do the job for the mods I have at the mo.
