Squeeking from front end...getting aggrivating after putting $200 into it already...
Over the past couple of weeks I have been dumping time and money in to the suspension/braking of the CRX.
It started with a front wheel bearing going out... Drove on it for about 2 weeks and the bearing ended up welding itself to the hub. Got the bearing off and new one on..but the hub took a beating. Next went the rear left wheel bearing...which I couldn't just get the bearing and had to buy the whole figgin hub for about $80.
While there, I decided to replace the brakes all around. I turned all of the rotors at my shop, and replaced the pads all the way around.
Now I seem to be getting a weird squeeking noise from the front left. It does it when accelerating/coasting...but goes away when I brake. If I brake around a turn it will do it, but will not do it while braking in a straight line. It sounds like a warped rotor (squeak, nothing, squeak, nothing...etc)...but no vibration from a warped rotor...and I just turned them 1 week ago.
The entire left side of the CRX also seems to be "sagging". I don't know if this is from the tires being a little lower, but I am checking it out in the morning.
Can anyone help in determing what this problem is?
Thanks,
jB

make sure that the shield behind the rotor is not making contact with the rotor, the shield bends very easily!! HTH
After doing, countless brake jobs on hondas and having that problem several times, I have come to the conclusion. If you don't have the apparatus to turn the rotors on the car like honda does, Replace them.
list of cars i've had this problem with
98 Accord LX
89 Civic Si
94 Civic EX
00 Civic Si
the problem is with the lateral runout. put the car on the rack, or jack stands take both front wheels off. crank it up and put it in first, let the hubs turn at idle in first gear, watch the adjusters on both sides, you might notice that there is slight movment of the calipers while the hubs are free spinning. This is most likley your problem. or at least its what i've seen with my experience. Mazdas are bad for that too. they are warped enough to cause the noise, but not enough to feel it in the streering wheel or brake pedal.
Just something to try, I may be wrong. Its worth a shot

I'm having a similar problem. I recently put in new rotors & pads on all four wheels. Upon installation, the brakes felt just fine (they just needed to be broken in). The next day I flushed the brake hydraulic system, and refilled with Valvoline Dot 4 grade fluid, and then bled the system and drove it around a bit. It felt a bit stiffer, but I suddenly got a squeaking on the Right Front wheel. It's still there today, it happens whenever I'm moving and I turn left. Wether I'm turning a little or a lot it still sqeaks the same - a constant sqeaking. But when I straiten out, or push the breaks, it stops.
I pulled off the pads, and sprayed down the rotor & pads with brake cleaner, it didn't do much.
There isn't any pulsing feeling while I press the brakes - nothing out of the ordinary except for that annoying sqeaking!!!
