Steering wheel, quick release, short hub. Doing the same thing myself, Nardi/NRG combo.

You've got it. NRG doesn't HAVE to be the brand, but it's a reputable one with good reviews. MOMO/SPARCO for the boss/hub, and a wheel that will fit the hub/release combo. There are a few sites that offer the complete package.

no, not everything is universal. first make sure you buy a short hub for your cars make and model, next steering wheels usually come in 5 and 6 hole patterns, make sure your quick release has the same pattern as your wheel. i belive momo, sparco, nrg wheels are 6 holes and grant wheels are 5 holes, when it comes to the quick release personally i would go with the same brand as your short hub, keep in mind that this is not nescesary. one more thing, make sure you buy a short hub not a regular hub if not your steering wheel will be to far back and it will make it uncomfortable to drive. im using nrg hub and quick release and a momo wheel and the setup has worked great for me. before i forget remember that you get what you pay for so try not to go cheep, you might encounter wheel play with cheap quick releases.
