brake pressure in front, no pressure in rear. Ideas? prop valve?
88 DX civic, sitting in a feild for years, just swapped a new motor in and changed all the brake lines.
Master Cylinder was replaced with a known working model. I bench bled the mc and bled the lines in order and out of order. Its POSSIBLE that there's still air in the lines, but highly unlikely. I'm getting braking pressure to at least one rear wheel, I don't know about both. Pressure is constant, the pedal isn't mushy or anything, but little to no pressure to front lines, even though there's fluid coming out of them. One caliper was replaced with a known working model from a different hatch, the other is the old old caliper. So its possible to have a seized caliper, but the other side still isn't working.
Any ideas? Could I have a bad prop valve? I changed it to a 40/40 for a near future rear disc install. its the only thing I can think of......

your post doesnt make sense. u say you replaced your calipers yet you also say you dont have rear disc yet...
i think its the MC, or the rear wheel cylinders are gone.
did any fluid come out of the rear brakes when u bled them? ..... .....

sorry, didn't mean to be confusing. fluid came out of all 4 bleeders, and I bled each until no more air came out.
I replaced a caliper on only one side of the FRONT. the other front side is still old. The rear drums are working properly (at least I know one is) and the fronts aren't working at all.

so if the rear ones are working properly then you have pressure in the rear. Your title says that you do not have any pressure in the rear.
Double check your calipers and make sure no seals are broken.

Sounds like there's still air in the system. If it was sitting in a field for years, it's also possible there may be a leak somewhere in the system. Are you losing any fluid at all? How many times have you bled the system, and what procedure are you using?

ok, I've totally bled the entire system, no air. there IS pressure at the front, I was mistaken. However, braking overall sucks hardcore. Takes massive pressure from my foot on the pedal to stop the car. maybe the booster is bad or isn't getting enough vacuum?
