Default Crank seal blowing out!!!

I rebuilt my b18a1 with all original equiptment about three months ago. I have put about 3000 miles on the engine and about 800 miles ago my front crank seal worked its way out of the oil pump causing the oil to be pumped out. I replaced the seal (both Fel-Pro seals) and it has blown out again. My first thought is that the oil pump may be bad and possibly putting oil pressure on the back side of the seal, pushing it out. Has anyone herd of anything like this before? Can someone explain to me what might be the cause and how much oil pressure should be behind that seal. Thanks guys.

you might have to much blow-by causing too much pressure to be build up causing seals to pop out, check you PCV valve might be stuck closed and or you just got cheap seals I never use aftermarket seals spending a few more $ on seals that are better quality will give you better results. just my .02 cents.

Agreed. There isn't oil "pressure" from the pump behind the seals. The seals hold in the oil splashing around inside the crankcase.

When you have that sort of a problem first place to look is to how much blow by you have. If PVC system is all right and you are building up to much pressure it could even be the rings letting to much past them into the crankcase.

Take a piece of regular paper, idle the engine until warm, and remove the oil cover, if air blows the paper off the oil filler hole, too much blowby, if it sucks it, that is normal.

I like the paper trick I will have to remeber that. My issue is that I can't even run the car for that long right now because it is dumping oil really bad.
