I bought some knock off fogs from a vendor on HT. I don't think the switch ever worked. I then bought a factory switch.

My question is: the knock off switch has 5 wires toing to it and the stock switch has 3 wires coming from the harness. The knock off looks like it has 2 grounds, 2 hots, and 1 remote. Can anyone let me know if I am correct because i am assuming all of these knock offs look the same.
Unless someone tells me otherwise i'm just going to turn the 5 into 3 (combine the similar wires) after testing with a multimeter to make sure.
