Default Distributor Question - Please Help!

I'm swapping a 95 Del Sol VTEC motor in a 99 Honda Civic EX. I know the motor is obd1, so I got a distributor from a 1999 Honda Civic Si. Now, when I go to plug it up, on the harness side (ex harness) there's 8 wires and 9 wires coming from the si dizzy. Not only that, but the plugs are different?

the 99 si is for the dohc motor plus it's obd2...u should just go to get a z6 distrubutor and reconnect it to obd1 conversion... that should solve ur problem

I'm not sure you guys understand. My wire harness is obd2 (99 civic ex) and the distributor is obd2 (99 civic si). But the plugs don't match as stated above.

'99 - '00 Si use a different plug than other OBD2 civics, there is a big plug and a small plug, the Si uses the "big plug" if i remember correctly, get the pinouts and swap the plug from another distributor.
