ok this is gonna sound retarded, but which way do i turn? its connected to the hardline and it seems the last person to touch the MC already chewed it up pretty bad, but i can still get a wrench on it firmly. so i'd like to change it delicately. which way do i turn if the wrench is on the left? do i pull up towards myself or push down?

It's just like all the other nuts, it's standard threading. So lefty losey righty tighty. Make sure you use the proper flare nut wench. Should be 10mm (not 11 as seen in the pic)

how tight is it supposed to be? cuz i took out the 12's locking it in from the pedal side, and when i leaned into it to torque it out the whole master cylinder assembly wiggled out.. its like dead on there

bolt the MC back up, put on the flare wrench, use like some pipe or something on the back for leverage so that you dont strip it further. If you stripped it then grab a nine and make it fit. Then proceed to buy nut. WD40, PB Blaster, use something on there.

problem solved, new ones in there.
just need to wait for my friend to show up so i can bench bleed. haha. since i used the 10 w/ the circular 10point or w/e wrench on the other side, i ghetto rigged a handle and leaned into it at probably 80ft/lb, it made a noise similar to that of when you have it caked on.. so im guessing brake fluid over time holds it in. woohoO

No, sounds like the dumb *** who re-installed it in the first place made it too tight.
