So we had a couple slow days here on the Honda car lot. Boredom always leads to great ideas... "Hey, let's build a place to set our drinks on for our work station." Some lady curbed her rim pretty bad on the backside and a little on the front. Needless to say it had to be replaced. Cleaned it up a little and ended up with this:
Notice the dent on the bottom lip to the right?

The Wheel is off a 2006 Honda Accord EX-L. The spokes are polished aluminum and the center is painted grey. I used little rubber stoppers every other spoke towards the outside to hold the glass in place

I wanted a realistic look so i dug an old rotor out of the scrap heap

Turned it on the brake lathe, installed some retapped cross-threaded studs and clear coated the rotor so it doesn't rust

So now i have the rotor, the wheel and some lug nuts i had layin around

Bolted the rotor to the wheel to test fit it.

Flipped it over, marked the valvestem for symmetry, measured and marked where the table legs were gonna go.

Got an old barstool to use as the table legs.

Marked and drilled holes for the table legs in the rotor and the legs themselves

Threaded the holes in the rotor to bolt the legs on

Got a piece of glass FOR FREE for the tabletop. Gotta like FREE.

I had to use fairly large stoppers. Checked the clearence because the spokes actually come outward towards the center.

Painted the legs of the table black and ended up with this. The total table is 25'' tall. The Wheel is 18'' wide and the Glass is 22''

The mastermind behind the project.(not me)

Disclaimer:
No animals where hurt in the making of this table.
Would like to thank Honda Motor Corp, who pay's us for doing stuff like this.
This project cost's $0.
