It doesnt really matter.
I started as a Nissan Tech and I transfered to GM. There really all the same when it comes down to it. It more about the people and who you work with then the company. I'm having more fun and making more hours at GM then I was at Nissan. Even though I would never (buy) a Chevy, Hummer, or Caddy, its not bad working for them cause theres always work.
Have fun though. I dunno what kinda internship your getting into but if you get a chance, Go to a tech school.

I work for honda, i started as accessory/pdi/express service tech, did that for bout a year and became a service writer. I like it. Benefits are good (those depend on dealerships) Are you an apprentice mechanic?

As far as benefits from working for American Honda, not many. I know BMW employees can get real killer lease's through BMW itsself not just your dealer.
Honda does offer a pretty good deal on traning through its PACT program. Its a 2 year degree at a community college and the dealer putting you through picks up the bill. Guys here work fri-sunday and go to school mon-thu. Dont make much money at all those years but start off pretty good once going flat rate.
I personally went to UTI 10 years ago, it was decent training. Real basic knowledge based on mostly ford/chevy's. After i graduated there i just started at a Honda dealer by chance. I enjoy it most of the time.

Your working for a independently owned dealership, not Honda. Any benefits would be from the people running the dealership, not Honda so it's different for everyone. It's up to them if they send you to training or anything else as Honda charges the dealer for everything.

I went to Lincoln Tech in Mahwah, New Jersey Biggest Waste of 22,000$ Ever. its only good if you have never touched a wrench in your life. i started at Hyundai then moved over to Honda i don't know if there are many benefits besides warranty not being a problem for anything.

Depends on area, here we have some real rejects being hired for Quick Lube and they are being considered for PACT training.
I'd try that approach if you're dead set on working for honda.
