Fuel Pump Clogged injectors or bad gas?
Man I do not know....
I have a 2000 Accord EXV6 with 123,000 miles. A bout a month ago I had my first sign of trouble. I was in a customers driveway and the car would not "Turn Over".. meaning the starter engaged, but the car would not start... almost as if there was not any compression..like an airflow problem. I waited a few minutes (after pumping the gas) the car eventually started.
Fast forward 3 weeks later and the problem came back on July 15th. Again after a couple of tries the car starts as normal. Today (July 16th) the car did not start.
I do not hear the fuel pump engage when I attempt to start the car. I checked both Fuse number 1 (15A) on the drivers side, and Fuse 50A fuse under the hood (main ignition) both are fine (or appear to be fine..) The starter is very responsive from the split second the ignition is turned.
One more note... 2005 I had the PCV valve changed and fuel lined serviced. Does this sound like a fuel pump issue, bad injector, spark plug or bad fuel?
Thanks in advance.
2gAccord.
p.s.
I do recall the rich smell of gas after the first time I got the car to start during the initial failure to start at the customers driveway. This was probably due to me pumping the gas pedal in a effort to get the car to start (even though this is a fuel injected engine).

I left the car at my job overnight... and in the cool of the morning... the car started immediately without depressing the accelerator at all.
I did notice the "Clicking" sound of the fuel pump when I turned the key... which I did not hear yesterday.
I took it out at lunch time, but did not hear that clicking sound before starting it up. All of this just confuses me even more. could it be a cylinoid overheating during the hot summer hours.... or is it just a coincidence that both time the car failed to start the sun was BLAZZING.
