Default can anyone helppppp

i have a 90 integra ls with a b16a in it and im having a problem it cranks over but doesnt want to catch, it seemed like there wasn't enough spark to the plugs, i changed the sparkplugs, spark plug wires and the distributor, i also check the starter relay fuse under the dash, and still nothing. After cranking for awhile it sounds like a loud backfire that come strait out of the intake...... has anyone heard of this problem before if so then does anyone know how to get my car running again. thanks.

more back story...was it always running then just stopped? Has the motor ever run? There's alot you're not telling us. Is it getting fuel, and spark, and are you sure?

yes it used to run i just bought the car about a month ago and was driving for about 2 weeks then it just stopped running, cranks over getting fuel, actually getting fuel on the spark plugs, and there is spark coming for the distributor... i dont know what could be wrong.

Take one of the spark plug wires out on the spark plug side. With the other side still plugged into the distributor, stick a long screwdriver into the wire and touch a part of the metal of the screwdriver on the valve cover of the engine. Have somebody try to turn the car on. If it doesn't spark when you do it, then you have a bad distributor coil (cheap fix). If it doesn't let me know.

i did that test, and i am getting spark from the distributor, i changed the distributor and all the internals because i thought that was the problem, i also am getting enough fuel, the spark plugs are actually dripping with gas when i crank it and take them out to check them so im stumped.

Have you swapped out the spark plugs? Are you sure the valves are stuck?
**** Did you make sure the timing belt isn't broken******

timing belt is fine, spark plugs i just changed and still nothing but whoever swapped the engine left wires hanging everywhere do you think that it could be the engine wiring???

strong possibility on the wiring. are there any check engine lights on? If so, what are the codes? assuming it's OBD1 of course
