Default Best solution to my problem, tapping and threading questions...

Okay so my problem, I am trying to feed oil to my turbo. The oil inlet on my turbo is a M12 X 1.5 and I am trying to use a 1/8 NPT. I tried threading my own adapter, I used a banjo bolt made for the turbo's thread, and thread a NPT inside of it, there by using the banjo bolt as a sleeve. It did not work, once I got deep enough, the threads on the outside started falling apart. I have considered rethreading the inlet on the turbo for something a little more easy, but still stay metric, but I can't clock the turbo, and the exhaust flange is in the way. I have searched McMaster and Earls, and found nothing helpful. I was thinking maybe have a 90 degree that is an adapter to something a littler smaller, and then threading that. Any ideas?

Okay, well now I have found a couple adapters, Autometer makes one, and eguages.com has one, but the question now arises, should I buy this, or save the money and tap and thread what I have?

I would try anything before trying to rethread the actual turbo housing if thats what you mean.Lets just say something goes wrong while threading it or after then where does that leave you?Pm flamenco-t on here his name is Stan or try stealthmode either one of them can solve that problem for you in 30 seconds and they are both really nice guys.

Thanks dude. I am confident in my ability in threading. But all in all, it seems like it would be more expensive for me to buy a tap and die to match my adapter, then it would be to just buy a plug. I'm a very impatient person when it comes to stuff I can do myself, but I think this one I may just have to sit on my hands and wait for.
