Should I get everything else from a pieced out Drag kit or just individual items together?

Turbo - something with a .54 compressor. Nothing TOO huge. What does Drag come with? ~$550
Piping - could be done by excellent local exhaust shop. 3" DP ~$200
Intercooler ~$300
Couplings ~$30
HKS BOV ~$200+
Boost Gauge ~150

Totalling around $3000 for everything. Does this sound good? What am I missing? I'm about to buy everything next week in one huge lumpsum and have it sit in my garage for awhile until I get around to installing it. Should I invest in a fuel pump or FPR? This is basically what I want to spend on parts.. All the other money will be put into tuning. 3" mandrel exhaust too. Forgot about that.

Comments/Opinions appreciated.

 

I think a lot of your numbers are conservative. the setup sounds good, but expect to end up spending ~1000 more than you have listed....

whats up pub... i'm in md also... ur stuff looks good.. for the price.. i'm doing basically the same thing... and boy does the stuff add up.. lil stuff!!.. it just keeps adding up more then u expect.. import parts is having a groupbuy on the drag kit... if you haven't purchased nething.. i suggest just picking up that kit and doing upgrades later on... saves a lot of time from driving to shop to shop to buy everything.. but custom is fun..

 

looks good....but you might want a new fuel pump and fpr too. and bigger than stock exhaust too.

It's going to be my daily driver but is gonna have some slicks thrown on it about every other weekend. I was ambitious with those prices.. but that's alright, I can put another paycheck into it. Mandrel bent 3" custom exhaust will be done here. I was going to get a Thermal R&D, but I wanted another resonator in there; might buy the Thermal muffler.

For fuel pumps.. inline or intank? 225lph enough? I heard there were many problems with intank pumps with use of bigger injectors. I'll look into a FPR as well. Anything else?

edit: It's going into a 94 LS. I'm considering building a spare b20 after this is set up and swapping the motors with a b20. But that's a long ways ahead.

A intank fuel pump is High Flow, a In line fuel pump is high pressure. With Hondata you are going to want a a Intank Fuel pump, InlinePRO actualy makes one; and you are local. With Hondata you will also have no need for a FMU.

 

I know I wont need an FMU, hondata's the fuel management. But what about the Fuel Pressure Regulator? Should there be a constant fuel pressure through the lines - or does the Hondata actually take care of that as well?
