Default Swapped from automatic to manual Trans and the key will not come out of ignition.

The donor car was a 95 2 door with manual trans and 1.6 engine.

I swapped the engine and trans into a 92 4 door that was an automatic with 1.5.

Car runs with no issues other than the key will not come out of ignition. I believe the issue may be caused by some sort of lock related to the automatic transmition.

Is there a way to remove the lock or get around it?

so, you can still drive it?

i've never seen a problem like this unless the ignition had just buckled up. but you wouldnt be able to drive it like that.

Out of the two transmition mounts (each have 3 bolts) I have only ever been able to get 4 total bolts. They never would line up.

To those that asked about the transmission mount, you need to either drill the spot welds out of the passengers side pocket mount and chisel it off and weld on the manual version and use the manual transmission top mount, or keep the original pocket mount and order an auto to manual mount from hasport, i think a couple of other companies make them as well. If you can weld i'd go with option 1, if you have to pay someone to weld i'd go with option 2.
