First off I only have 1 seat in the car, so there will be no passengers in this seat. Do they make them for preludes or will the EK hatch block off's work ?

hmm would it be ? im not sure i have never removed it. So the cover can be removed seperately of the air bag ?
So then what is the point of these block off trays ?

for preludes u can, im sure (because ive done it) for other cars im not sure. the cover for the pass airbag is held in snug with the tabs all around.. just pop em off gently and pop it into the airbag space w/o the airbag

well i pulled the airbag itself out which is a piece of cake and the dash cover comes off of the air bag and snaps right back into place. The only issue here is what size resistor to run and also that the plug is a male plug therefore u can not just run each end on the resistor into the terminal. What I was thinking was that i need the female end of the plug with alittle wire coming out of each side and soldering the resistor in series.
O and BTW i put the airbag on the scale and it only weighs 8 lbs

Ive thought of that but the problem with that is when u measure resistance the multimeter actually sends voltage through the circuit to measure, and im not trying to have an airbag going off lol
