Default Break in periof for the R

Well March 9 i blew my motor. I bent 12 valves and blew my tranny. Acura warrantied it all. just got the car back yesterday and it runs like new. i was wondering how many miles and how should i break in the new head, clutch, and tranny. so far i put 200 miles on it. any help would be appreciated

400-500 for the clutch to set, as for the head do the same, just be easy and no wot for a while be nice! And your dealer did not tell you anything?

is it alright if I go into vtec but not at wide open throttle. for example in second gear at half throttle hit vtec and then shift into third

An automotive journalist for Bimmer magazine told me that you should keep it under 4k for the first 1k miles. Then for every additional 200 miles go a thousand higher. So at mileage 1000-1200 you'd rev to say 5k and step your RPM up in 1k increments per every 200 miles.
Also make sure to not keep the car at the same RPM for long periods (street driving is perfect for this) and don't floorboard the car until it is fully broken in.

When i bought the car, I dumped the clutch in the dealership and had it redlined before I was out of the parking lot Not sure if that was the problem or not, but I'm on my second motor now

Craig - Who is just kidding and did not punch it even when the dealer said "Get on it you pansy"

This damm 4 th gear is hard sometime and very easy to miss

I now have 12 new valves in my car and it run perfectly..I will have to change my clutch through...the mechanic at acura told me to take it easy only for 500km which is approx 300miles??

What is the recommended break-in per your owner's manual?
