My Brother Converted To OBD1 He Has A D16Y8 In His Hatch And Everything Works Great And Runs With No Codes But When You Get On The Throttle When Driving It Boggs Down, But If You Get On It Slowly Its Fine, We Made His Distributor Conversion Harness And Everything Else Was Bought Does Any One Know What It Could Be The Boggin Problem
Your vtec is leaking. lol jk um this sounds just like my mx6 did. anything over like half throttle makes it bogg down. try to get some carb and choke cleaner and clean the tb out really good. make sure your plugs and wires are good 2. And could you pm me on how you made the distributor harness. Thats the only thing i have left to do.

check ur timing, dist cap, and rotor. often times cap and rotor need replacing and if the head was just put on, if his timing belt is off by just 1 tooth it'll make the car hesitate.

yeah his timing it good, i know its go to be somthing in the dizzy so we are gunna try to replace rotor and cap
check your injectors, ran into a problem when doing a b20 swap, one of my injector was not doing its part and motor kept boggin on full throttle but if i slightly gas its fine. might be same problem.

well hes running a stock 91 si harness so he has obd0 injectors, and it ran fine untill he did the obd1 swap now does it make a diff. if he puts obd1 injectors will that fix the problem like i said it only boggs when you lay on full throttle

So Do I Have To Change My Injectors To OBD1 Injectors, And If So Do I Have To Change The Fuel Resistor Box Or Anything, Any Advise Helps!
he is running a jumper harness correct? if so you dont need to change the injector (unless they are bad, then swap with other obd0 injectors). check the grounds, one might not be making a good connection.
I am his brother I have no clue what the problem coul be everthing on my car is new from honda.
The motor only has 33,000 miles on her I have the papers.
Its wierd whenever I florr the car it bogs down to 2300 then it piucks back up an goes to like 4000 then back down kinda like launch control but its a virginb ecu.

this guy told me if you are converting your fuel injcectors from obd0 to obd1 that you would have to remove the fuel resistor box and put a dead plug on that plug. however i am still looking for that forum on this website.
not necessarily true. if you want a full obd1 conversion then yes. but if your just running a jumper harness then you do'nt need to remove the resistor box. i would check your TPS or clean out the throttle body with some intake cleaner. see if that helps with your problem.
yes clean out throttle body. and if you are using 0 injector you will need your resistor box. if youi choose to use 1 injectors you need to cap off the resistor box. an obd1 stock engine harness will have a dead plug where you can de-pin and re-pin the wire in.
I am preparing to throw a z6 head on my d16a6. I have the P28 ecu, and I was going to buy a jumper harness. My understanding is that with the jumper harness, I do not need to go 0bd1 injectors or anything like that. Do I need any other sensors? I do have an obd1 distributor for it as well. Anything else I should be thinking about before I do it? I want to do it right...
