im seeing people put out way more power than me after they got their turbo's tuned, and im wondering whats up. i had my hondata2b tuned on the dyno for a little over an hour by lawrence at dynospot (great tuner) and only made 210whp and 155lb of tq at 5psi. im seeing people put like 280-300whp alone on only 8psi w/ stock internals too. i know for sure 3 extra lbs of boost will not bring me up to 280+. am i doing something wrong?

 

 

ohhhh you will see a difference at 8-9 psi...then four more at 12 psi and so on and so forth...8psi will be safe but dont go overboard

 

at 5psi you're only starting to overcome the incredible restriction a turbocharger is on your engine. 210whp@5psi isn't too shabby.

 

yea, thats what i was thinking, some people are only doing 240 at 8 or 9 psi... those need tunning. you just need more booooost

 

you should boost 8 or 9 psi. you might get around 270whp. ask Lawrence!!!. he did my car( 4 door gsr with drag3 ). i got 280whp with 10psi with 9:1 compression. but not go more than 10psi!!!!! on stock piston.

 

3'' exhaust and downpipe helps a lot too.

 

how much can you boost on pistons and rods? what compression pistons should I get?
