Default Having trouble getting into gear.

I have a gsr in an eg with a chipped b16 ecu.

At times my car would go into gear and be able to drive just fine.

and there are times that the car wont go into gear at all. i would have to put it into first gear and then turn on the car and it will go.

and there are time that when i put it into gear and it wont come out at all. it'll be stuck.

would could be the problem. would it be the throw out bearing?

sounds like your shift linkage is binding, check the conditions of your motormounts

Also check your slave cylinder and clutch MC.

The slave is usually the first to go.

I'd agree with Frickr - check all your mounts!

Does it freely engage/disengage with the engine turned off?

I would look into the engine mounts.

My '92 Civic (years ago) had the exact same issues as you describe. I couldn't find anything wrong with the engine mounts. Turned out to be the clutch slave cylinder. It's a relatively inexpensive part and easy to install.
