Default Aftermarket valves, springs, and retainers needed if I don't go past 8,000 RPM?

I was wondering if its worth it to get those items if I'm just revving a B20VTEC Turbo to 8,000 RPM? Also are there any "power gains" over the stock components? Or are they just made so that the engine can rev up to 9,000+ ?

Thanks.

Default Re: Aftermarket valves, springs, and retainers needed if I don't go past 8,000 RPM? (BG Boost)

actually, you dont just need stiffer springs and stronger/lighter retainers for revving a motor high, you also need it for boost applications, partly because there is severe heat and the engine accelerates(as opposed to spins) much faster.

so yes, for boost upgrade your valvetrain, try out the Portflow inner springs and titanium retianers, works excellent for boost with stock outer springs.... and I sell them cheap too !!!
