its a 95 del sol cluster going into a 93

 

well not sure if its the same but my civic is the same... the only difference is the automatic has a plug on the back that controls the lights for DNR... blablabla

and if its the same style cluster you might even be able to simply swap out that section of the cluster to keep your manual style...


if its similar to a 92-00 civic then pop the outter clear bezel off by pushing the side tabs all the way around it and lift the bezel off the cluster, then pull the bezel that goes around the gauges. DO NOT TOUCH THE NEEDLES or mess eith the screws on the face of the gauges!!!!!!!! if ya do you risk breaking the needles and tha tmeans that gauge is trash....
instead flip the gauges over and remove the screws on the BACK side of the cluster and then that gauge on the other side should just fall out the front. like so...
and yes i did bust the needles off the one set of gauges, they are trash....
if your old one is bad id sugest taking it apart first just incase it doesnt come apart to easy then its no big loss! i bought a extra cluster just to experiment with since i got it dirt cheap!







THEN you can also keep your factory milage gauge to keep your milage true and fraud free

Yeah, I was thinking that the cluster just had a sensor that hooked up to the center console to tell what gear/park/reverse its in.

pics edited up above... so if your simply replacing the cluster due to a bad gauge you can always just replace that one gauge

 

Ive got an automatic cluster in my coupe. Works fine.
