Default Custom FORD intake manifold

Here are some pics of a custom intake manifold done for a high-revving ford smallblock.
I ended up doing some fancy fabbing to get the x-over for the coolant, but it turned out ok.
In the center is a plastic piece designed to insulate the plenum from the heat of the motor.

looks like you might have some interference issues with the intakes being so close to eachother. Nice fabwork tho!

I asked the phd. mechanical engineer about this, and he says it is less of a factor than not getting enough air. He designed it for a single 125mm tb, but couldn't find one. So we decided 2 105's would do the trick.

Yes, fiberglass based plastic. Only thing that had the strength and heat characteristics that we liked. Hard on carbides, but excellent insulator, and finishes quite nice.

Cnc work was done by http://www.steedspeed.com, we do alot of work together.
As for the sealing, we are going to use 0-rings to seal the surfaces, and the top will be rtv silicone for now util we get a rubber gasket.
