I just bought a 94 eg hatch, and I am having a problem getting it started. When I turn the key to start, nothing happens. I hear a click from the main relay, and I dont hear the fuel pump prime. I am thinking its the main relay.

Is there anything else to check?

 

The battery, have you tried jump starting it?

 

That would be a good thing to check.... lol I'm gonna go grab a battery jumper and try it.

 

well it wasnt the battery...

 

Did you take the cover off too see if the fuel pump is grounded? mine had a problem and the 10mm bolt on the dirvers door post came loose.

 

if the fuel pump isn't priming its the main relay

 

i tried using a different relay with the same results. I don't know for sure if that one is good though. I will check to see if the fuel pump is grounded good.

 

I'm having problems with my ej2 not starting, im not tryin to jack this thread but i figured why open one. This might help you out as well. My Car cranks, but wont start and the check engine light stays on already checked the main relay its not that, i tried a brand new one and it didnt do ****. any ideas? ive heard it might be the ecu.
