Default 16.5@83MPH oh man i need some help

Its a 2000 Civic Si built head. Tuning I definatly know is needed. The thing runs way too rich in vtec.

My 60 foot was a 2.8 when i normally do 2.1's.
I had no traction in first second or third. ACT 6 puck i believe is the cause of that.

I ran on my Si rims.

Any feedback of what the hell could cost my car to run 1.5 seconds slower. IT was 92 degrees on the track as well.

Its your 60 ft man...you shouldn't even have to ask this question. Also try not to shift so hard, if you shift smoother the wheel spin problems in third should be completly gone.

Thanks, i kinda figured it was my 60 foots when i finally started comparing slips to all my other ones.

When i did the 14.9 it was a 60ft of 2.1

I need a clutch, hahahahahahahaah yeah right.

FYI, i finally mounted my street slicks on my 14"steelies, gonna try em out on thuresday, this should help most of my wheelspin problems.

lol a for you,no traction in 2nd or 3rd gear! all this from a n/a car that ran a best of 14.9@91mph lol yeah right, the clutch is probably slipping, making you think the tires are spinning.

That was before the mods. The 14.9 was with a cheap *** intake, exhaust, 14inch steelies and 60 degree weather.

So i guess the fact that you see smoke in the burnout box is a burnt clutch?? Or the fact that when i am in the street and dicking it around it peels out?? I know I am not deaf, i do hear tires screeching.

If it wouldn't have been because i know i put the clutch in I would totally agree with you.

The clutch has way to much clamping force.

well if its not the clutch slipping, your losing serious HP somewhere for your speed to drop 8 mph even with that bad 60ft the MPH should be higher, maybe fuel pump?

I am thinking too much fuel than the car can handle. I noticed yesterday that my fpr had lost the locking nut and that the fp was at 58 psi which is way to much fuel. The guage has been reading very rich for the last 2 weeks and i couldn't figure it out because i kept on thinking i was at 45psi or so.

I think that would be why the car is running so rich in vtec, the fp climbs way too high. IT bogs, and loses top end power. Thus the hp loss.

What do you think??

its possible, are you checking the pressure with the vacuum hose off the FPR,set it at 45psi with line off.

no. I adjust it without the locking screw(which by the way was picked up at home depot) and set it to 43psi. Then i put the vac line on. IT drops some psi and then i raise it a little more.

Usually when I fudge up the launch, i get higher trap speeds, not lower. Somethting has to be wrong. 16.5@83 looks right where its supposed to be but thats not always the case.
