Default New Rsx-S Bone Stock Upgrade Help plz

Ok i am buying a Used 04 Rsx-S For 14,000 Leaving Me with 3000 to spend on upgrades im cutting to the chase here i Want a NA Car so i was Thinking Getting K-Pro And ITB first. As a Kind Of Sleeper. Has anyone Ran A K-Pro Tuned ITB Stock Block at the Track And See What Kind Of #### it Gets? Or Should i Go With The Basics I/H/E - K-Pro. And What Kind Of Numbers Do Those Pull On a RSX-S on 1/4
And Plz Dont tell Me To Boost It Thats Why i Have My EK. Just Here Looking For Some Opinions New To K-Series Scene But Not The Honda Scene

Wow...ITB's as a first mod, eh?

Try searching or looking through the FAQ.

No matter what 'scene' you're in, building a N/A motor correctly is pretty much the same process. You don't start with ITBs on any motor that I know of.

Am i wrong some guidence here would help. eventualy my goal is to get itb the rest of the parts isn't really a main concern to me

Not sure what you've been reading, but ITBs should be one of the last mods you do. And they are usually, specifically, only for racing. ITBs on a street car is just downright silly.

Nice, very incoherent

You just want ITBs so you can say you have them?

ITB's for the look and the sound of VTEC, huh?

I think I'm going to cry.

Ok, king ricer. Where is your crown?

I would just stick to bolt ons until you know something about what you're doing. Or you can spend 10x times the money and just have someone else do all your work for you.

ITB's are a little difficult to tune also, I/H/E and K-pro should get you some good numbers, then go from there. You could build your head too

Okay...honestly bro, we gotta crawl before we walk...thats the same thing with building a motor. For a streetable car, you honestly should start small.

ITBs on a bone stock car with a motor you are unfamiliar with is like trying to put a baby in a marathon. To make them completely effective I would seriously look at doing some internal work and getting other supporting mods...3000 may just not cut it man. I/H/E with K-pro yields beautiful results with a good tune, I don't see why you would'nt want to start small anyhow if you are new to tuning K-series motors.

Do a bit more research, learn the motor, be decently educated before you jump to such a major modification. You won't learn too much from simply starting a thread on Honda-Tech...just to be honest man.

Be encouraged, take your time...you'll appreciate it in the long run, you have a great car to start with.

I am being honest yes I am new to the kseries but I've been around hondas nearly most my life 3000 is what I have to spare not my bank roll for parts I'm looking to drop around 5000$ on getting that itb up and running good like i said im not looking for a full drag car. 5k mite not be enough for that itb set up but i dont wanna waste money on intake/mani/throtlebody total 1000$+ when I can get a itb for a couple hundred more well 1000 more but thats better then buying spare parts and no one answered my question what do i need to make itb work? Im prety sure it will make decent power on a stock block for now. Im not planning ahead of my self here just getting what i want

Tight bro, are you going to smoke me at the mad tight street races!? I'll get my boys and head on over there, we is gonna run for 5 bills fool.
Can you take a '98 Chevy Lumina with ITBs on a stock engine, cuz that's how I roll out.

How about this...go ahead and drop your cash on ITB's and get them running. Then, first race when you get smoked by a *properly* built K series (with less than 5K into it, I might add), come on here and then ask us what it takes to build the motor correctly within budget.

ITB's on an otherwise stockish motor = stupid. But you do what you want to--it's your money.

ITB's yield no great performance increases, but cost so damn much.

Not to mention, you'll probably have to cut your hood because you might not have clearance.

Stupid waste of money.
