Default 2JZ-GE split divided BWS372

before i made a single scroll t4 manifold for my supra due to time constraints of getting my car back up and running asap for the tuner to fix.

of course the BW 372 is a split divided manifold, now that my head is getting worked on i figured i'd throw on the junk head and make my setup legit !!

just some mock up pics..

flange is holding the manifold and head up cuz its not bolted down hahaha

Looking good. Where did you pick up the exhaust head flange for it?

t6 has too big of an exhaust side, its a bitch to spool the t4 setup as is with the 72mm, supras aint " all that" hahaha

that stupid distributor pretty much preventing it, i went that high to clear the frame rail and motor mount, altough i could've dropped it down a lil bit, i need a new hood now =T oh wells, i barely have time to work on my own car, i try to shove in time whenever i can, so im not going to complain, i will use it as is. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by jsw_1986 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Super sexy!!! 72mm on a supra is not very big at all. probably one of the most common sizes.

i do agree that a t6 would be a little laggy. you should be able to put down 850~950 with that turbo.

how much clearence do u have between the turbo housing and the valve cover? and do u think that snail is heavy enough to make ur mani sag when it gets heated enough?

950whp is very high for a 72mm. 850 should be no problem. A 72mm should spool very well w/ a t4 divided hotside for the street.

You might be able to kinda fit some sorta intake with the 4 runner cap.

I modebly know what you mean by no time to work on your own car. My GE hasn't been touched in over a year. NA 2j = lose.

my na has been sitting for a year a couple months. havn't even managed to take off the stock exhaust

72's going to be a really fun car to drive. we are finishing up a 2jz-gte next week with one on it. 1000 cc injectors, so we'll be limited to around 800whp.

2.0l honda's make 900+ on a 72mm, this thing won't have a problem at all! Hell 67mm turbos on supras make sick power lol</TD></TR></TABLE>

Supras aren't as efficient as Hondas. Engine size doesn't have anything to do with power capability of a turbo.

On another note, i like the symmetry of this manifold, looks nice.

If you need a cam trigger to get rid of that distributor, we can do one, we've done a few in the past. Makes life easy when it comes to an intake and looks 100 times cleaner. On the supras the magnets go in the back side of the cam gear and the sensor mounts in the back timing cover, real clean install.

Do you have some sort of machine that puts that wicked smooth bevel on the ends of all of your pipes?

I've been working on a set of Fender-Well exit headers for my dad's hot rod and my biggest complaint is that when the edges of the pipes aren't smooth/dont line up perfect it makes the weld a million times harder. those ones look wayyy easier to weld
Also, are you taking the pipes off at the flange, welding up the complete individual tube then welding them back up to the flanges when they're all finished?

Thanks and also nice project

i use a 20" sanding wheel to get the bevels on

i tacked all the tubes last night in 6 seperate areas so they dont shift when i weld, hopefully ill do some finish welding today. at least to the runners

Exactly, a 2j will not necessarily make more power than a b series on the same turbo.

THat said, a turbo's efficiency is acutally inversly proportional to engine size; thats why a 4276 can make more on a 2jz than it can on a 331.

I'll probably get one of those cam triggers from you, Tony. How much for the setup?
