Default 6th Gen Help Needed

Hello everyone i got a problem thats really bothering me. 01 ex 4cyl ok here we go. Since i purchased vehicle in 2002 i put royal purple 5-20 i moved to phoenix couldnt find the stuff around so i changed oil with castrol sythnetic(probably missed spelled) ran good for about 100 miles then now i get p1295 since then i made the additional effort and bought cases of royal purple and i cant get it to clear up. Did some research and it says something about vtec pressure switch or low oil so i bought a new vtec pressure switch and checked oil pressure its fine. im running out of ideas how to fix this and thinking of taking it to honda and give them my left nut to fix. I also took off oil pan and cleaned the gunk out. the thing that sucks is that i runs in limp cant go over 4k rpm what a bummer. Although i can clear and it runs fine for about 3 miles then back in limp it goes. Idle is a little low had to adjust slightly. Any advice will be helpful. CODE IS P1295 and funny thing is scanners dont provide a summary on it.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery and resetting the ECU? Also, how many miles do you have on your car? I don't know if this is related, but I heard it is bad to switch to synthetic on a high mileage car. Since you don't have any oil leaks this may be irrelevant, but I would try resetting the ECU to try to stay out of limp mode.

Of course if reset the ecu i clear codes using my scanner. And i always ran synthetic just couldnt find the purp so i bought another brand. Its gotta be the oil pump the check engine light goes off sometimes by itself while driving. i believe its gonna go out on me shortly.

Maybe you could try a engine flush and decarb? Those are the suggestions I have.
