Default Test pipe CEL question

If I have a test pipe with o2 bung, and I put the o2 sensor in it, will I get a CEL?

(The other o2 sensor will be in the header.)

Yeah I've got a 98, that sucks.

What about with a high flow cat? CEL yes/no?

depends on which one you get...try the 400cell carsound cat, that shouldnt set off the cel...and if worst comes to worst you could always get an o2 simulator

This may sound stupid, but if the o2 sensor throws a code when it doesn't get enough oxygen, couldn't you just let it sit outside the test pipe/cat where there's plenty of o2? Or will too much oxygen throw a code as well?

Anyone using the blox eliminator on an OBD2? How well does it work?

since you're asking this, i'm assuming your car is obd2. do a search for "spark plug defouler". it cost me ~$5 when my 99 gsr was turbo'd and my cel went away (had to pass emissions testing).

What does that have to do with an o2 sensor?

Its obvious you haven't searched. You enlarge the hole in the defouler so the o2 fits, stick it in the secondary o2 bung, and then stick the secondary o2 in the defouler. This way less gas reaches the sensor and it thinks its been cleaned up as if it had gone through a functioning cat.
