can you help with my distributor problems
I have a 98 type-r and the CEL #9 (cylinder position sensor) is on. I just put the motor in and it runs like crap and backfires. The only aftermarket part I have is the msd. I believe my timming is off. I just changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor but it still runs like crap. Could it be my distributor? If it is then which distributor can I use 98 typ-r only?, 2000 type-r? 98 gsr? any obd2? please help thanks!

i dont really have a 98 R but i have 95 ls with the R motor. I switched it to obd1 and and put a skunk two p28.........thanks for the help!
