Default no reverse?

I was on a spirited drive the other night and ground 5th gear pretty bad. Yes, i was going way to fast, about 115 to be exact. as soon as i heard the grind i slowed down and then shifted into 5th, at about 90 mph. went into gear fine. got to my destination and parked the car fine, thinking that i had just been an idiot and tomorrow nothing bad would happen. Well, it did. woke up in the morning to no reverse. I have had minor issues in the past where it took me a few tries to get it into reverse, but it always went. well now it simply wont. I have tried putting it in while moving backward, revving and putting it in, going quickly from 4th to reverse(not while going forward), but to no avail. it is really shitty as i was just about to tear apart my motor for a turbo build. My question is do you think that it is a specific tranny problem that can be fixed, or would i be better off replacing the whole trannny( i have a gsr swapped ek with gsr tranny) with a LSD? budget really isn't a concern as this car is my passion, but it would really suck to buy a whole new tranny if mine was a simple fix. I know this was alot to read, but i wanted to get as much info out there as possible. if you have any experience or input i would forever be in you debt. worst part about it is that i haven't driven my baby in a week. SOOOOOO SHITTY.

I know I have trouble getting it in to reverse in the morning, this may sound simple but try it.

Try putting it into second then reverse.

Or just roll the car ahead an inch or two. Then put it in reverse.

replaced the fluid today, still no reverse. really don't know where to look next. transmissions are something that i have been lucky enough to not have to deal with. i think im taking it to a shop tomorrow to see if they can assess the problem. this is such a bumer as i was weeks away from a turbo. does anyone have experience rebuilding a tranny? is it really that hard? i think that i'd like to at least try to do it myself, but if it's going to be impossible for me i'd like to know ahead of time. thanks

Well Its Up To You If You Want To Spend A Lot Of Money(Around 1k Or So Depending The Shop). Its Better Giving A Try Even Though You Dont Know How To Do It. I Would Personally Do It Myself.
