Default need valve cover stud, interchangeable between d series, or exact spec

Hi,
I broke my valve cover stud on my sohc zc non v-tec, the bottom right one if you look at the engine from the front. My question is; I have a friend who has a d16y8 that he doesn't need, he told me to come pull one from that engine. Will it fit? IF not do I have to get one from a d6a6, d15. or another sohc zc, or can I just go to the dealer and order one? How much would that cost? Will they be different lengths and not allow to seal well.
Thanks in advance.

i dont think the y8 studs will work. They kinda did the valve cover fasteners a little different on the vtec heads. They use long bolts instead of a stud and cap nut on the non vtec d series. You will probably need the a6 or other d15 non vtec style stud and cap nut setup, but to be honest, i haven't compared them side by side. its all from memory.

A6 will work fine if it's an OBD0 ZC.

nope, the d16y8 one is too long.
Can I find these at the dealer?
How much should I expect to pay at a salvage yard, they were charging me 15.00 $. Not sure if that's reasonable, that place is always trying to rip me, or maybe I'm cheap.
