Default ctr shift ****

so i finally received my long awaited ctr shift ****. i screwed the locking nut on then the shift ****, but the top shift numbers ended up upside down. so i took of the locking nut and decided not to use it. my question was, is it important to have the locking nut on? will my shift **** get loose in the future? thanks

loosen the locking nut.

tighten the numbers so that they are aligned correctly.

then tighten the locking nut at the bottom while holding the shift **** in place.

its easy, surprised you havent figured it out.
