i have a 95 dx with a single cam non vtec and i wanna put another single cam in there only vtec out of a ex. will my tranny bolt up to the motor? and what else will i need for the job?

 

Yes the transmission will bolt right up. You also need the P28 ECU, or to get your stock ECU converted for vtec. Then of course you'll need to add the wires for vtec to the ecu plugs.

 

All D series transmissions are interchangeable. But yes you will need a p28, p08, p30, p72. The p28 will be the best ECU for the single cam vtec, but all of those will work. Keep in mind that the p30 and p72 are for DOHC motors and fuel mapping and everything is different. So you will run rich.

 

okay cool i could probably get the computer right out of the car im getting the swap out of. besides wiring vtec, anything else i got to worry about before i jump into it?
