Default d16y7 in 91 si obd0 fan relay and the plug don't match?

the plug to the left of the 1 pin oil press. sender that's right above the filter, right?

or is there anoher plug that im not seeing?

also, what color is the wire that's suppose to connect to the oil press. sender? mines unplugged and there's a yellow wire grounded off on the crossmember.

i'd really appreciate any help i can get, i've searched and searched more any chance i get and can't find the specific info i need. i work day and night during the week and can't get this done any time but the weekend.

thanks in advance.

on all motors obd1 and newer the fan switch is on the thermostat housing. so what you do is cut off the original plugs and get a plug that will fit the new sensor on the thermostat housing then extend those 2 wires to reach it. it doesnt matter witch wire goes where it will work either way. not sure what the oil press wire color is but its the only single wire plug down there by the oil filter. there shouldnt be a wire grounding on the crossmember.

the wire that was grounded to the crossmember came from the bundle of wires right where the fan relay wires come from. the plug from it has been removed and it being grounded keeps the fan relay plug too far away to reach the block.

the wire mentioned is yellow, i don't remember seeing a red stripe but thanks jlicrx, im pretty sure that's it considering my oil light is on, and theres not a wire connected to the oil press. and that is the only loose wire i see.

i didn't see any plugs on the thermo housing, just a wire or two fastened to it, i think the ground.

maybe im wrong but i thought you were suppose to swap the housing out with everything else when doing this swap obd0. and i read somewhere that your suppose to take the fan swith from the stock a6 and put it on the new block.

like i said, i could be wrong and misread everything, i didn't perform this swap, i'm working with it, trying to become educated on how it was suppose to be done.

I'm gonna take another look and see if there's somewhere for me to plug onto that housing. if so, i need to get the plug off of a 96+ civic?

sure you could do that too. but i like doing stuff the easyest way possible. just follow the lower radiator hose to the motor and it should be there unless you or someone else changed it out.

that style plug can be found on any honda or acura harness its the same sytly plug as the iacv, temp sensor for the ecu, and few others are all that same style. its round and 2 wires.

ok, noted

I took another look at that housing and i don't see a plug on it. there a wire posted on it thats coming from the rest of the "wire/harness" bundle that runs through there.

take the original plug off the a6 and put in on the y7 plug it in bam your done. or get any obd1 or newer thermostat housing with the fan switch on it and put it on your motor then add the new plug bam your done. or just conect the 2 wires for the fan switch and your fan will run all the time that the car is on bam your done.

i didn't do the swap, i bought it like this, not running, but the only problem was that the bottom plug on the ecu was loose, i just pushed it in all the way and reset the ecu.

i bought a new fan switch but the only plug i found which did drain coolant was not the right thread. i've got a DOHC Zc in my hf, would it have the same fan switch as the A6? its in storage so i haven't been able to look at it but i can get it and have the parts i need.

is there possibly a housing on the stock motor that i need to use that fan switch?

i thought about using a switch thats already installed in the dash(thats not in use) wired directly to the fan. thats my last resort, i just finished fixing the hack job done on this 90 integra Gs that im selling to my friend. not that im not gonna do it right, but i wan't it to work properly, like it was designed to.
