1G B16A - activate VTEC sooner
Based on what I learned from my brother-in-law's dyno tuning session, VTEC can be activated sooner to produce higher (than stock) torque several hundred RPM earlier in the rev range. I'm not interested in spending the kind of money I think it would take to switch to OBD1 and add Hondata (which is what he did). Are there other good options to activate VTEC sooner in the RPM range for an OBD0 B16A?
My understanding of a VTEC controller is that it only changes when the VTEC switches over, but will not do anything to adjust fuel, etc.
Are there controllers that will make adjustments to fuel and timing for OBD0 engines or are there companies that can program a chip for the stock ECU?

it advances and retards based upon what you do with the fuel

So if you add fuel it advances? or the other way around. Yes you would need some dyno time to obtain full benefits.
