Raining hard today. Went to start it, not only did it have to crank a lot longer to start it seemed like it was a really hard start. I don't know, it made a weird noise while cranking toward the end. Could this be the starter or fuel pump going?

 

do you have a CAI?

 

No completely stock. Has started fine the last few times but that rough start still scares me. If it does it once it will do it again.

Alright, here we go:

Do you have any CEL (check engine lights)?

Could you describe the "weird noise" you heard at the end of cranking?

How long would you say cranking did it take to eventually start?

When you put the key in, and put it in the ON position (right before ignition), do you hear a quiet buzzing noise? (go in your car, windows up as quiet as possible, turn the key ON and listen for a 2 second buzz, like a small motor running).

Done anything with your fuel lately? Run out of gas, octane boosters, that sort of thing?

Have you checked battery voltage? Is your battery good? Has it died lately? Take it to autozone to test the battery if you dont have a voltmeter.

Check under your hood and dash in the fuse panel and make sure all your fuses are in completely, that none are loose or any screws holding on Main Fuses are missing. Usually this wont ever happen by itself, but it never hurts to double check anyway..
