My soon to come (hatch)
hello everyone i'm new to the game of import tuning and i need some big help on what to do. First of all i got a civic hatch on the way and want to swap in a gsr v-tec motor the thing is i live in morocco, casablanca and i'm not sure if there is any tuning shop's down here i would like to do the swap aswell as keep it an all motor since there might not be any tuning shop's. Can some one send me a list on some all motor part's that i can fit in the hatch with no problem like bolt on part's other than i/h/e but at the same time i would like the i/h/e in the list as well but the most out-put power that i can squezze out of the gsr motor with no problem like breaking,worn-out, and i would like to now if that i can swap the engine with no problems like transmission, wiring harness, ecu, motor mounts ect. so if anyone could help me it would be so great (
thanks

the best way to find answers is to use the big red SEARCH option at the upper right of the screen, if you cant find anything beneficial to your question, then post.
^and there it starts. had to say the dick comment and not contribute at all. makes you feel better then so be it.
ill help this dude out then. take a look at the car and google search different years of civics to find out what year it is. most likely its either a 92-95 EG or a 96-00 EK where you are.
an easy way to distinguish them is an EG hatch has a near vertical rear glass and also has a tailgate. the EK hatch has a rear glass that is near a 45 degree angle.
as for upgrades, i am not familiar with b-series engines but there is a section on this site for all motor builds. there is a ton of b-series info in there and that would be much more beneficial then me just telling you to search without telling you what to search for
cheers and welcome to HT

The eg has smaller headlights also so thats an easy way to tell if it is an eg there are the easiest and most compatible with all motor that you want to swap if its a ek it will have larger front headlight. at least look at it and get back to us.
I looked at the hatch today and it's a (1993) ex hatch so i'm thinking about when i purchase it and have a good look at it should i go with the gsr or the h22 motor and what will be more consistent i would like to go with something that will give good reliablity (hp and torque) and and any good that i can get thanks for the last reply and get back at me (asap)

i stick with a b series swap if i were you, seem to be more reliable then the h22, and it'll save you a few headaches aswell. If its you're first swap, you'll be very happy with the gsr, gl.
dont get me wrong, if a h22 swap is done by someone who knows exactley what they are doing, it can be very reliable. but a b swap is just more straight forward, almost plug and play. dont let the price of the h22 swap fool you, you'll spend more getting it into the car.
