98 Civic Timing Belt/Water Pump Question. (Searched already)
I bought a 98 civic ex about a month ago. The car has 94k miles on it and I just had a minor tune up done. I replaced the Distributor Cap, Rotor, spark plugs and wire, and fuel filter. The previous owner did not change the timing belt yet and with 94k, it's a little overdue and needs to be replaced also.
I searched and my question was not answered. I was wondering if all 96-00 civic SOHC timing belts and water pumps were the same. Is the EX timing belt and water pump different from the CX/DX/LX? I'm not sure if the VTEC engine needs a different belt and pump from the non-VTEC's.
I'm just wondering because I found someone selling a OEM timing belt and water pump BNIB for 80 bucks. Seller does not know if it fits all the 96-00 SOHC civics. Please by nice, first thread on HT.

Thanks for the tip. Just searched Majestic Honda and they all seem to be the same. I googled the part number and found many threads from all over asking the same question. They are all indeed the same.
Not bad for a first thread on HT. Thanks for the quick reply! I'll be back with more questions if anything comes up.
