I just bought a 93 del sol and some one had cut the wires on both sides of the plug leading to the distributor. I straight wired them and the car was not getting any spark so I disconnected them and checked them with a meter and as far as I could tell there is no power going to the distributor from the wiring harness. In addition to that I cant hear the fuel pump kick on. Its possible that whoever cut the wires could have done something else and I am at a loss. Can someone please give me some direction

check the fuses under the steering wheel, there should be one for "ignition coil"

 

I have been under there and cant tell one from the other ther is no diagram to go by

 

is it a relay or fuse

 

on my 2000 si it was a fuse....check them one at a time if you have no diagram...some needle nose pliers make it easier
