Default sunroof popping problem...

Why does my sunroof have a hard time getting past the initial pop step by itself? I have a n EH3.. I have to use a finger to push up on the sunroof a little while I'm pushing the button to help it pop open, then it slides back and forth fine. What could be the problem?

I don't know how WD40 on the rails would help it pop open? It slides back and forth fine, it just a hard time initially getting open.

wd40 will help because the rails are prolly dry and the initial strain to get the movement is to much for the motor. If wd40 doesn't work then you might need a motor.

Ok, I'll try WD40. First I need to clean my tracks real good. I noticed a lot of black and green crap in there. I can't tell if its dirt (bad) or grease that the last owner put in there to help it slide (good?)...
