Default d16y8 swap trouble

Here the deal i have a d16y8 swap with complete wiring harness and ecu from a 2000 civic ex. My car is a 98 civic DX hatch. i have dont the swap and i have some issue's, here they are Tach is not working, speedo is not working, reverse lights dont work, a/c compressor runs continuosly even though a/c switches are off. anyone else have this problem?

If I recall correctly, 96-98 and 99-00 harnesses aren't 100% interchangeable, so that might be where your problem lies. You could've used a 96-98 VTEC harness, or just used your original harness and added the VTEC and knock sensor wires.

AAAAAAAha dang it ok thanks for the info im gona swap the old harness back in and add the sensors. O would i have to use a 98 v-tech ECU?

You can do that, or you can get an OBD-IIA>OBD-IIB adapter harness to run the 99-00 ECU.

You can use the harness from http://www.boomslang.us or you can buy my d16y8 5spd ecu from my 98ex. Shoot me an IM if interested.

cOO.... thanks alot fellas, i think im gona get a 96-98 harness and then go with the boomslang adapter harness.
